...... There is a legend that says the norse god Odin was the giver of the RUNES. It is believed that Odin had the power to raise the dead, divine the future, fly through the sky on his eight-legged horse and change his shape at will. Mythology tells us that Odin gained his immense wisdom and knowledge of the RUNES by a grisly act of self-sacrifice: He hung for nine days and nights impaled on the Tree of the World by his own spear. At the end of the nine days, he achieved the vision of the magical runic alphabet. This alphabet consists of 24 symbols or glyphs. These symbols the eternal representations of the fundamental forces of the universe. As such, they may be inscribed ephemerally on materials such as stone and wood in order to use them. ...... RUNES are associated with wisdom and self knowledge. They can be used to put you in touch with your inner self as well as solving practical, everyday problems.
